2022 Friends of the Poor Walk
On Saturday, September 24, 2022, the Trumbull County St. Vincent de Paul Society hosted its first annual Friends of the Poor Walk at Perkins Park, Warren, Ohio. The event was open to the public, featured 200+ walkers, raised over $15,000 for the St. Vincent de Paul Trumbull and was supported by 16 local sponsors. The local band, Madame Marlowe, performed during the walk and participants received an SVdP Swag Bag filled with coupons and gifts from local merchants.
The Friends of the Poor Walk is a national event to raise awareness and funds for those facing rapidly rising rates of food and financial insecurity in Trumbull County.
